gas seems to be alot higher than diesel . if theres a inexpensive way to convert my car i would seriously consider doung it.
has anybody out there had this done ? if so,was it worth it ?
Is there a converter you can buy to change your car from gas to diesel?
no. however if you truly want to save money on fuel make the next vehicle you buy a diesel and convert it to run on vegetable oil!! check out ( greasecars.com) for details on the process of conversion and rid yourself completly of any dependence of petroleum.
Is there a converter you can buy to change your car from gas to diesel?
no convertor total different Eng..
Unless you swap engines, no.
the only way is to replace the engine There is a kit to change to propane but i donot how much .
no, diesel engines require high compression where gas engine prefer lower compression. and the gas engines that were converted over to diesel just didn't hold up.
Can't be done. Trade it in on a diesel and learn how to make your own biodiesel from waste cooking oil.

Do I need to change my car registration from the state I'm moving from, when its not moving with me yet?
I need to renew my driver's license in my new state this week and am wondering how that all affects my car in my old state. I am still back and forth for awhile and plan to drive it when I'm back there (and a friend drives it there now). How do I cover all the legal bases?
Do I need to change my car registration from the state I'm moving from, when its not moving with me yet?
When you move the car to the new state, and update the insurance for the requirements of the new state then get your registration changed over. Loaning your car to a friend who is driving it and the car not being in the new location is reason for not changing registration yet.

You must be a resident of the state to have the car reregistered in that state. You will be fine until your tags expire.
check with a local cop states say 10 day license and reg but ck with the dmv as well

As a used car buyer, how long do you have legally to return the car or change your mind?
Ibought a used car and it had a squeaking noise and the salesman said they would fix it. They changed the belt and when I left the lot it quit squeaking . the next day the noise returned.
car was sold as is.
As a used car buyer, how long do you have legally to return the car or change your mind?
Depends on the state you bought it in.
In Texas if you buy it %26quot;as is%26quot; you are at the mercy of the car dealer.
The only way they have to take it back is as a repo.
Did you get a warranty on it ?.
As a used car buyer, how long do you have legally to return the car or change your mind?
from what i was told there is a automatic 90 day period for no mater what you buy or who it is from. the only time it don't apply is if specified that it's as is, no exchanges.

I've chopped and changed car insurers over the past 20yrs and each time I change I never get offered evidence?
of No Claims Bonuses.
Shouldn't each insurer have sent me this?
Surely me never claiming is enough proof?
How do I go about retrieving these documents?
Can't remember each insurer, but there must be about 10 companies.

%26quot;Shouldn't each insurer have sent me this?%26quot;
No. It would be sent to your new insurance company. But only if they requested it.
%26quot;Surely me never claiming is enough proof?%26quot;
No. Insurance companies require documentary proof.
%26quot;How do I go about retrieving these documents?%26quot;
You don't. It's only needed if an insurance company requests it.
%26quot;Can't remember each insurer, but there must be about 10 companies%26quot;
That doesn't matter. You only need proof from your most recent insurer. If your new insurer requests it.

Your NCB should be shown on the last insurance certificate that you received. That is proof enough for most insurers - just send a copy to any new insurer. They will ask for confirmation from you that there have been no claims since the certificate was issued.
You don't need NCB proof from each insurer and certainly don't need to try to retrieve these documents. The only one that is valid is the latest one - NCB proof from 4 years ago is of absolutely no use whatsoever.
It is usually on your insurance schedule (but probably not the certificate, which is a different thing) with all the other details of the premium. Also, all car insurers in the UK use the same database, so they'll know what NCB you have without you having to prove it.
you nearly always have to ask for proof of no claims bonus from you previous insurance company. you only need to contact the last insurer to get the proof you need.
Your renewal reminder from your current insurer is proof of no claims for your new insurer.

Can you change a fuel injected car into a carburated car?
i know u can change a carburated car into a fuel injected car, but can u change a fuel injected car into a carberated car?
Can you change a fuel injected car into a carburated car?
Yes its not super easy but very do able... much easier than being carbed and going FI
Can you change a fuel injected car into a carburated car?
why do you want to go backwards? it can be done but you will have a check engine light on.
Sure, just rip off the intake manifold, throw one on with a carb. Just need to work out the wiring and electronics, depending on how advanced the computer control system is it can be easy or a pain.
But it's always do-able.

How often will you change your car's screen wiper?
Somebody told me I should change it every two years. Is it ok?
Thanks
How often will you change your car's screen wiper?
I change it till it chatters and annoys the heck out of me or till it can no longer wipe the water off.
I like to keep a spare set in the trunk in case I'm on the road when it's time to replace them.
How often will you change your car's screen wiper?
whenever the blades don't wipe good and start leaving streaks, I usually replace mine about every 1.5 yrs.
I like to change mine at the first rain of the season. I have the kind of luck that if I did not change them they would go out at the worst possible moment.
There isn't really a specific interval. I change mine whenever they stop clearing the windshield efficiently. If your wipers are in good shape, and are still doing a good job, I see no point in spending money on new ones.
Thanks

Where can I get an oil change for my dropped car?
My car is dropped, and I've been looking everywhere to get an oil change on it. I don't want to buy the jack made specially for dropped cars because it's over 4 bills!!! Anyone know a place I can get it done at?
Thank you!
Where can I get an oil change for my dropped car?
If the plastic ramps from auto parts stores and Walmart don't give you enough clearance I've got a deal for you. speedwaymotors.com has 3,000 lb. aluminum racing floor jacks for $129.00. They also have a 4,000 lb. unit for $159.00
They're much more reliable than the red painted up pieces of crap Sears sells.
Where can I get an oil change for my dropped car?
most paces that have a drive on lift can change the oil in it you may have to use pieces of boards to use to drive it on with but it can be done,i do them all the time you just have to be careful when doing them,good luck.
Thank you!
