How do you change the sound your car makes when you lock the door?

I just bought a car and I notice that every time I press the lock button on the remote, the car makes a loud bird chirp noise. I read the manual and it doesn't say anything about the car making a noise when you lock the door. That is why I figured whomever owned the car before, must have changed the chip or something. Thanks.

Seems like an after market keyless entry or it could be a car alarm.

If you do pop the hood and look for a %26quot;speaker%26quot; it don't look like a speaker it looks like a siren. It looks like a small black siren about 4 inches long and circular in most cases.

need more info. what type of car? year make model
open the hood and press the button. You should be able to find the speaker from there. You can either remove it, or muffle it
It's the car's alarm. You could disable the alarm if you wanted ... but then obviously it wouldn't have an alarm.
haha they probably just did that to annoy the next buyer or something

nice one!
Thats a nice car..... um.... check the hood for a speaker... maybe.... or use the thing that you plug into for the check engine light, and look for its alarm sound thing
