Do I have to do anything else to my car if I change my engine?

If I change my 305 in my 91 Z28 Camaro to a 350 crate engine with somewhere between 350-400 hp, do I have to do anything else to my car to have it function correctly? Or anything that I should change out for %26quot;better safe than sorry%26quot; reasons? Thanks guys for your time and consideration.

The 305 and 350 have the same bell housing bolt pattern, so it will bolt up to your existing tranny.

Do you plan on ditching the TBI/TPI and running a carb, or are you keeping the fuel injection? I'm not sure if the automatic trannies were electronically controlled that year, it may cause some issues there, but there is an aftermarket product for that sort of thing.

If you have an automatic, your tranny will hate you and will not survive too much punishment.

transmission.

is this a 5spd? auto?

if 5spd, then clutch which will come with tranny.

your drive shafts may not be able to handle the torque produced by a 350 big block.
Hello

I don't know much about that engine so I can't say anything about the gearbox and diff. and don't know how good it will match to the new engine, But If u are going to gain quite alot of power then I suggest u upgrade your brakes and suspension to be on the safe side.
You may have to change the ECU unit to account for the change of sensors between engines. Check it out with the engine supplier. He should be able to answer the question.
