Can you change vehicle on a car insurance policy?
You not only can.....You are required to. How do expect the insurance company to know that you got a different car and insure that different car if you don't notify them?
Can you change vehicle on a car insurance policy?
sure - just ring them and tell them the new car details.
The policy ceased to exist when the car was written off so no as there is no policy to change it on
Yes but you're premium will go up or down depending on the quality of the car.

Assuming your new car is better than you're last one, you'll have to pay a bit more towards your insurance. Let them know. You won't be covered unless you do.
sure change car change insurance just a phone cal away
to all above NO. you could have any unused policy added on to reduce the cost of a new policy
yes you can though you might have to pay a wee bit more...
No you cannot, you would have to start a new policy, so the best thing to do is compare your insurance to get the best prices, try theycompare.co.uk
Yes. Just call them, or pay a visit to your insurance agent. If you call, you will need to have the VIN handy. The VIN should tell them everything they need to know, but they may ask you for a few other details.
Yes just ring your Insurance Company with the details of your new vehicle - if there is any difference in Premium they will notify you.
I have no idea why anyone who answers %26quot;no%26quot; to this question is even answering questions in the insurance section... The OP asked a question because she doesn't know the answer and that's completely fair and understandable. But I would hope people answering questions in this section actually have some knowledge of the topic, which anyone who answered %26quot;no%26quot; obviously does not.

The insurance follows the vehicle but the policy is tied to you, so the answer is yes. You can simply call your insurance company with the VIN of your new car handy and they will remove the old car and attach the new one. They should discuss the coverage options with you in case the new car's coverage would be more appropriate at a different level than what you carried on your previous car.
Yes. Talk to your insurance company and they will make the change. it may cost you and there may also be additional premium to take you to the end of the year, after which if the accident was your fault the premium will go up.

Note of caution some companies will say that as your car has been written off the insurance has been completed and you will have to buy a new one. I do not think many UK companies do this now but some will.
Of course. Just call your current agent and provide them with the new vehicle information. Make sure you have the new vehicles VIN# ready when you call. Let them know you will be replacing the existing vehicle on the policy with the new one. That should take care of it!

Depending on the replacement vehicle you have chosen, your premium is subject to change.
absolutely, do it as of date new vehivle was aquired to avoid lapse.
Of course-call them with the new details.

The premium will go up or down accordingly.
