Do i have to change the oil in my car?
Car companies do program your car to turn the light on every 3000 miles, it's because people are human and we do forget things like that. If you've driven more than 3000 miles since your last oil change then yes you should have it changed unless you are using Ammsoil or a synthetic oil. If you haven't driven but say 1000 miles then I would say someone forgot to reset the engine oil life button.

you probily forgot to reset the oil change moniter
You might have a bad sensor, try looking into that first..otherwise the rule of thumb is change your oil every 3000 miles
It depends on how many miles you have driven, not the amount of time between changes. 3,000 miles is pretty standard for an oil change although there are engine lubricants on that market that will go longer than this.
no! i think the car companies do that. they program the car to do that so you think you have to go to the delaership to get a tune up or wat ever. there is no problem, it happens in my dads car all the time. i think you could turn that little light off by putting the car on nuetral and holding the milage button... i think
