How much do they usually charge to change car brakes?

I%26#039;m talking about a regular car, such as a Saturn 2000. I need to have them replaced but I don%26#039;t want to get ripped off. So how much would you say is a reasonable price?

Thanks|||How long is a piece of string? It depends on a variety of factors, including whether you rotors will need to be changed or turned.

So, the charge would be the cost of parts, plus the labor rate multiplied by the time to do the job. If you just need new pads you would be talking about a $100 per axle. If it goes beyond that there would be more parts, rotors alone run $50 or more, plus more time to do to the job.|||its easier and cheaper to do it yourself.
