We never got the signatures needed (not for a car though) and were stuck with the item purchased, with no way to put it in our name :( We%26#039;ve since scrapped it out.
You have to mail her the title, get her to sign the back of it - and get her to mail the title back to you, signed.
Now pray the mail carriers don%26#039;t lose it. |||You may have to send her the title and have her sign off on it. Then you can sell the car or switch names in the title.|||insurence agency. go to her%26#039;s and yours and tell them waht%26#039;s going on. they should be able ot switch names for u.|||She will need to sign legal paperwork turning the car over to you. May be difficult since she is not in the U.S..|||You need to have her/his signature on the back of the title as seller. Most states require you to have 1 or both parties present to have the title notarized. The only other way is to file for an abandoned title, again that may take of to 30 days. Call the DMV in your state.
